Wellbe Releases Second Annual “Joint Replacement Benchmark Report”

benchmark2015Wellbe, Inc., creator of the Guided CarePath for Total Joint Replacement, today announced the results of the second annual “Joint Replacement Benchmark Report,” a survey of 100 hospital orthopedic departments, benchmarking their practices in total joint replacements for hips and knees.

“With the recent announcement by Medicare on the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CCJR) model it’s clear that payers are increasingly looking for value from joint replacement providers,” said James Dias, CEO of Wellbe, Inc. “We hope this report will offer orthopedic directors new exclusive insights to help them benchmark themselves on measures of quality and efficiency to compete in a value-based market.”

One highlight of the report is that participating hospitals had a range from 0-8% for their 30-day, all-cause readmission rate. Those who read the FREE report will also learn:

  • The 4 big challenges orthopedics departments are currently struggling to overcome
  • Average participation rates for joint surgery preparation class
  • Which national initiatives are top priority for 2015
  • How the majority of hospitals are staffing for patient coordination/navigation roles

Only participants in the survey have access to the final results. Interested hospitals can participate and get their copy at www.orthoserviceline.com/benchmark.
